Eric Stanton’s masterpiece presented in a way never seen before — in a large, reader friendly edition tailored to underscore the unique brilliance of the art.
What happens when gentleman caller Ving Walk (Irving Klaw spelled backward) meets the Roberts: The Addams Family of extreme figure training and bondage play?
Falling somewhere between Jean Cocteau’s The Blood of a Poet, Luis Buñuel’s Un Chien Andalou, and David Lynch’s Eraserhead, this “bizarre” romantic comedy features newly restored artwork, plus a reconstructed text that pulls from the original 1953 edition as well as the 1961 adaptation with some revisions for a modern audience.
Irving Klaw’s and Eric Stanton’s finest hour finally presented with the respect it deserves. Includes additional material on the artist and author, variations of artwork, and more!

Description
From the Editor:
“Pretty intense project, which I consider a ‘creative engagement’ in that it’s a re-imagining of an original work of art — not a reprint. Not like anything you’ve ever seen before. It’s both a visual and a literary experience in which I borrowed from the original 1953 edition and the 1961 adaptation and reassembled it in such a way as to create the ultimate version. And since original Klaw serials were photographed from original artwork, I was also able to provide variations of the art. You’ll see close-ups you’ve never saw before, you’ll see original printed artwork that was badly cropped at last restored to full glory.

Eric Stanton
Eric Stanton (1926-1999) was a pioneering illustrator of fetish art, who believed that every artist should be free to follow his (or her) own muse. And he risked his entire career on this belief, even if it meant living underground in complete obscurity. His association with Steve Ditko, Irving Klaw, Bettie Page, Gene Bilbrew, and other figures of the New York underground of the 1950s and ’60s, is the stuff of legend.
You can read more about his early years of struggle and doubt in the hardcover book, Eric Stanton & The History of the Bizarre Underground (now available on Amazon), which features over 400+ illustrations/photos and the backstory of Irving Klaw, Bettie Page, Charles Guyette, Steve Ditko, Gene Bilbrew, Leonard Burtman, and so many more…
